Veteran-Owned, Hill Country Proud

Task Building is owned by Chris Pickens, a Hill Country native living in Hunt, Texas with his wife, Catherine, and his son, August. Chris brings his professionalism, work ethic, and fair pricing to every customer. Having served for almost 10 years in the U.S. Army, Chris has learned the value of honesty and integrity. He carries over his work ethic from his military background and enjoys being back home in the Hill Country and bringing his construction skills to what he feels is the best little community in the country.

Task Building delivers a satisfaction-guaranteed promise to every one of its customers. We promise a job well-done, fair pricing, and a clear scope of work on every job, big or small. We promise to deliver a final product you can be proud of and enjoy for years to come. If you’re not happy, we’ll make it right.

Every Task Building project comes with a guarantee of materials and craftsmanship for a specified period of time following completion. That doesn’t mean we wash our hands of responsibility if something were to occur after the guarantee period. That’s not good for the customer and it isn’t good for our business. Task believes that standing behind the final product means working with the customer to resolve every issue to satisfaction.

The hallmark of success on every job has to be its level of customer satisfaction. We’ve found that a great deal of that satisfaction starts with involving the customer throughout the project. From the earliest stages through completion, we’ll keep you updated on your project’s progress, fully explaining each step, answering all of your questions, offering clear, understandable options and making sure your project stays on time and on budget.

Task Building is a veteran-owned small business. Throughout his life, Chris has found peace and focus in the building trades. After years of working for various trim carpenters, framers, and cabinet makers, he has honed his skills and directed his true passion as a construction manager. It is that passion that created Task Building.

Chris has recognized that one of the largest problems in the residential remodeling business is lack of honest, consistent communication—both with the subcontractors and most importantly, the homeowner. Task strives to take the guesswork and frustration out of residential remodeling by adhering to itemized contracts and agreements that clearly describe what the client wants to achieve at a fair price.

Chris is a Hill Country native and takes great pride in his work, his team, and in delivering service and a product his customers can enjoy for a lifetime.
